MRP and your personal data
Market Resource Partners (MRP) is a global predictive intelligence and customer acquisition company that provides integrated, multi-channel, communications strategies, self-service client technology platforms and complete, in-depth data analytics to help achieve revenue goals for our clients and partners worldwide across a variety of industries. MRP respects your privacy and wants you to enjoy a comfortable and secure experience with us. This privacy notice explains how we collect, use and share your information.
Some of the information we collect relates to identified or identifiable individuals and may be classified as “Personal Data” under the General Data Protection Regulation (“GDPR”). This privacy notice provides the information we are required to give you in relation to the processing of personal data under the GDPR.
This privacy notice is applicable to all MRP companies registered in the EU and those outside the EU when they carry out business information activities on residents of the EU or offer goods or services to businesses in the EU.
Purpose and lawful basis for the processing
MRP processes Commercial Data (as defined below) for direct marketing purposes.
MRP process the Commercial Data via its predictive analytics platform, “MRPPrelytix”, to supply intent data and related analytics about businesses to MRP clients and partners. The purpose of this processing is to enable clients and partners to predict businesses buying requirements and market to the businesses most likely interested in the client’s products or services.
MRP use the anonymised IP addresses to display relevant ads tailored to visitors based on (i) visits to Sites (ii) key words that you search for and (iii) the content topics of web pages you visit.
MRP processes Personal Data under the ground of “legitimate interest”. From time to time, MRP may, where specifically requested by a client or partner, or where required by applicable law, enhance the legitimate interest ground for processing Personal Data by obtaining opt in consents from the data subjects for the client.
Direct marketing is a recognised legitimate interest ground for processing Personal Data under the GDPR. In addition, MRP has carried out a 3 stage test and is satisfied that the Personal Data that it handles stores and processes is necessary and is balanced against the fundamental rights and freedoms of the individual.
MRP and the data we collect
MRP collect information on businesses and business professionals. This is our “Commercial Data” and includes the following examples:
• Company and Business professional contact information, including name, job title, address, phone number, fax number and e-mail address;
• Company profiles and statistics, including number of employees;
• Anonymised IP addresses and locations
The data contained in the MRP database originates from a variety of sources. These sources include data suppliers, campaigns and MRP’s own research.
MRP may share business contact data with clients and partners with whom MRP have entered into agreements to purchase or licence this information for marketing and data management purposes. From time to time, MRP may also share this information with its subcontractors who are contractually bound to protect and use the Personal Data in accordance with this Privacy Notice.
MRP may also share website usage data collected through Sites for the client with third parties to carry out advertising services and/or the client.
Cross Border Transfers
MRP may transfer Personal Data to its database in the United States of America. MRP’s US entity Market Resource Partners LLC is certified with the EU-US Privacy Shield which requires that MRP comply with certain Privacy Shield Principles whereby MRP makes certain commitments with regard to the processing of EEA Personal Data. MRP also transfers EU Personal Data to clients and partners outside the EEA and rely on data transfer agreements or other EU approved mechanisms for such transfers.
