MRP COOKIE POLICY

What are cookies?

MRP, as well as third parties may use cookies, pixels and/or web beacons (“Technologies”) to collect information on the MRP website, microsites it controls and third-party sites (“Sites”).

  • Cookies. A Cookie is a small text file that may be stored on your device when you visit a website.
  • Pixels. A pixel is an invisible image or block of code which “drops” cookies on webpages.
  • Web beacons. A web beacon is used synonymously with tracking pixels, include JavaScript ( or other programming languages) that allow data to be exchanged between systems typically through use of APIs.

Why do MRP use Technologies?

MRP may use the information it collects from the websites it controls;

  • To analyse and improve website performance and utility.
  • To maintain visitor’s settings, preferences, performance and identity (if submitted to us) while you are using our products or services.
  • To personalise your experience using out products and services including online chat.

MRP may also analyse the information it collects from the Sites to develop interest-based data segments. MRP may then use this information to create an intent data source for MRP’s services or the provision of MRP’s services to its clients. MRP may use the information it collects in this way;

  • To inform, develop, deliver and improve MRP services for clients.
  • To deliver advertisements and content which may be relevant to your interests.
  • To personalize advertisements and content using your preferences.
  • To create interest-based audiences.
  • To identify behavioural trends.
  • As a depersonalized, and non-personally identifying session identifier in technical diagnostics.
  • To recognise a visitor across multiple devices and websites so that a user can benefit from targeted advertising across devices.
  • To recognise their device between multiple (returning) sessions.
  • To personalise your experience using out products and services including online chat.
  • To recognise and prevent fraud.

 

Where to find Technologies

Technologies may be used by MRP on a number of Sites including;

  • Email tracker –MRP Technologies may be placed on 1) emails sent to recipients as part of a marketing campaign to track openings and 2) microsites controlled by MRP which are accessed by visitors when they click through emails.
  • Advertising – MRP may place Technologies on advertisements displayed on behalf of itself and its clients.
  • MRP website – MRP Technologies along with third party Technologies may be placed on the MRP website.
  • Web-tracker – MRP may place Technologies on websites controlled by MRP clients.

 

What Categories of Technologies do MRP use?

The Technologies MRP may use fall into the following categories;

  • Necessary cookies are necessary to allow the technical operation of a Site (e.g., they enable you to move around on a website and to use its features).
  • Performance cookies collect data on the performance of a Site such as the number of visitors, the time spent on the website and click throughs etc.
  • Functionality cookies increase the usability of a Site by remembering your choices (e.g., language, region, login, and so on).
  • Targeting/advertising cookies enable the collection of certain information which is used to serve personalized advertising.
  • Session cookies are temporary cookies that are erased once you close your browser while persistent or permanent cookies stay on your device until you manually delete them or until your browser deletes them based on the duration period specified in the persistent cookie file.

 

MRP’s use of Technologies is subject always to obtaining your consent, where required, in accordance with applicable law.

When MRP places Technologies on a website controlled by a third-party, the Technology will be known as a MRP Third Party Cookie. Use of the MRP Third Party Cookie will be governed by this cookie policy.

MRP may enable third parties to place Technologies on websites controlled by MRP. The cookie policies of the third-party providers will govern their use and collection of the information.

Through the Technologies, MRP may collect certain information about a user’s activities on a particular Site including but not limited to IP address, URL, page interactions etc.

All information generated by the Technology about your use of the Site will be stored by MRP on servers in the United States or in Ireland.

 

Sharing Information

MRP may share information it collects through its use of Technologies with MRP clients. Such parties may use the information;

  • To deliver advertisements and content which may be relevant to your interests.
  • To personalize advertisements and content using your preferences.
  • To recognise and de-duplicate in-aggregate reporting produced by combining data from MRP, MRP’s clients, and third parties that MRP’s clients work with.
  • To assist in identifying possible fraudulent activities.

The information collected is not analysed in a way that would reveal the identity of the individual browsing the websites.

 

How to change preferences

Most browsers are initially set up to accept Technologies, but visitors can manage Technologies by following directions provided in their Internet browser’s “help” file. Some browsers may enable you to set a warning before accepting cookies, or you can set it to refuse them completely. If a visitor rejects cookies, they may still use the Site, but their ability to use some Sites areas’, such as contests or surveys, will be limited.

If you use different devices to access Sites, you will need to ensure that each browser of each device is set to your cookie preference.

 

Opting out of MRP website cookies

When you are using the MRP website you can control the use of cookies using the CookiePro tool.

However, please note that if you browse the web from multiple devices or browsers, you will need to opt-out from each device or browser to ensure that your choices are reflected on each device or browser. For the same reason, if you use a new device, change browsers, or clear all cookies, you will need to perform this opt-out task again.
